The free service give you 1 gigabyte of storage online which is plenty to store low rez photos and important word documents. Premium services of $7.95 a month for 5 gigabytes of storage and $19.95 a month for 15 gigabytes of storage. We have used box.net as a make shift FTP site as well as online storage. Open Office is the classic free file. Originally developed as Star Office in 1999 the office suite was purchased by Sun Micro Systems in 2000 and the code was released under the GNU Public license to offer a free alternative to Microsoft Office. The development by the open source community over the last 7 years has created an impressive suite of office apps at an unbeatable price, FREE !!! I have been using the Mac version of the suite NeoOffice for that last year and a half and the compatibility with Microsoft's product is unmatched. With Microsoft Office retailing at near $900.00 at Best Buy you should give it a try.
This weekend I attended three very exciting hockey games including a thrilling overtime win for our nephew's team. Congratulations to Jake, his team mates and all the coaching staff for a great effort !

This week Apple announced the release of Aperture 2. This upgrade to the original Aperture software has been long awaited. We have downloaded it and will install it so that we can post a review shortly. We are hoping the new version will offer a better experience and with the $100.00 dollar price drop make it a must have for any photographer to have as part of their workflow

Aperture 2 gives photographers incredible tools to manage massive libraries, speed through photo edits, make essential image adjustments, and deliver photos online and in print using one simple, integrated workflow. Whether you shoot RAW or JPEG, Aperture lets you get the most out of your photography.
Check back in a few weeks to see our review

This is a bonus photo. I took this photo last April on the shores of Lake Ontario. The shot is taken from the Burlington Side of the Lake looking South East towards the Hamilton Beach Strip. The shot was taken with the Sony A100 on a tripod. The only light was that from the moon. It was a 2 second exposure at 24mm with the camera set at ISO 800. The high ISO setting products the graining look that gives the shot its feel.
